Growing up, Sunday mornings were always my favorite morning of the week. The feeling of warmth and peace waking up to the smell of whatever breakfast my mom was making. Knowing we were all going to get dressed up and go to church filled me with joy. Every now and then, my dad would load us up and take us to a “fancy” brunch at Yaya’s in Wichita; which are some of my fondest memories from my childhood.
Now, as a wife and mama, Sunday mornings are peaceful moments I get to spend in the Word with my coffee while I wait for my little boy to wake up. It’s also knowing I have an entire day ahead of me spending time with my husband who works long hours each day, except for Sundays. It’s the one day of the week I don’t wake up having to think of all the tasks I need to accomplish before a certain time.
When thinking of a name for this business, I ran through so many cheesy ideas, knowing cheesy was exactly what I didn’t want. After feeling hopeless to figure it out, I wrote out “Sunday Morning” in a pretty font in my journal at church.
Sunday mornings will continue to look different as the years pass. However, they have always been-and will always be, the start of another new week the Lord has blessed me with. As I looked down at the carefully written font, I had peace knowing I found the name of my future boutique.
